New default PHP versionToday new default configuration was applied to all shared hosting (Linux) servers in Latvia. New clients will have PHP version 5 by default. If you still need to use PHP version 4, you need change your file extension to ".php4". This feature will be disabled after August 2008 when PHP developers stops to support it. PHP5 provides new features for website developers and is faster than previous version (up to 30% on independent tests). For current clients migration to PHP5 was done only for sites that passed personal check of our administrators (more than 99% passed). Old PHP version was left for incompatible websites.
