Study: Business does not know how to use the Internet to achieve goals
More than half of Latvian entrepreneurs or 57,1% are optimistic about prospects for the development of the company. This quarterly survey showed "Latvia - business and the Internet", which makes the hosting provider GARM Technologies in conjunction with the Latvian Internet Association.
Almost all of the respondents are directly connected to the Internet development company. It can play such an important role 94,7% of companies. This suggests that the vast majority of enterprises have realized the importance of the Internet and the need for its use. A little smaller companies - 73.5% - know how to use the Internet to achieve business goals. This high percentage suggests that some employers may be wishful thinking. After all, the promotion of our products on the Internet - a relatively new trend, and even many professionals do not fully understand all the subtleties of such promotion. Although it can be assumed that respondents answering the question about his knowledge of product promotion on the Internet, were due to the standard methods of promotion: such as the site of the company and / or banner advertising.
Results showed that only every fourth company uses its website as a sales tool, 20.9% use Internet portals, ads in the search for new customers, 17,9% of respondents spend newsletter offers by e-mail and 11.7% companies are active in social networks. Less attention is paid to entrepreneurs how to promote products on the Internet as banner ads, activity on blogs and PR. Answers to this question showed that, indeed, most companies use traditional methods of product promotion on the Internet.
Study also showed the role that employers assign the site of the company in achieving business goals. Thus, only 34,5% of respondents, or every third company uses its website to attract new customers. This extremely low figure, obviously, due to the fact that entrepreneurs are not yet fully understand how you can use the site to promote products. 23% use the page as a calling card companies and 10.6% for the promotion of the brand. Interestingly, only 3,1% of respondents using the site for searching for new employees. In other Western countries and America, this percentage is close to 20.
The survey involved 315 representatives of Latvian companies. 49% of companies founded more than 10 years ago. 84,1% of respondents are leading employees of companies (owners, directors, marketing managers).
Study "Latvia - business and the Internet" holds the hosting provider GARM Technologies in conjunction with the Latvian Internet Association. In the study, businessmen meet on a quarterly basis to the critical issues associated with the use of the Internet to achieve business objectives of companies.
